You may remember Microsoft’s E3 Keynote from right now, as it’s still ongoing as I type this. And among all the Halo 4 news, Halo 4 anticipation and of course Halo 5 jokes, not to mention all the assorted Kinect madness, there was one other announcement that was understandably easy to miss.
The game that carried the Xbox platform through its first turbulent years and arguably made it the contender it is today is getting a re-release for its 10th Anniversary. Halo: Combat Evolved will be getting the requisite plastic surgery, no doubt, but unlike most HD remakes, it will also see gameplay tweaks. Microsoft promises tweaked classic multiplayer maps and Xbox Live co-op, which together with a plentiful heaping of nostalgia should readily part misty-eyed gamers from their money on November 15, when the game hits.
