Today Google’s Vic Gundotra has announced that the search giant is rolling out the Google+ custom URL feature to more users of the Google+ social network.
Google has created the new Google+ custom URL feature to provide users of their social network with easy to remember web addresses that link directly to your Google+ profile or page.
The new Google+ custom URLs make it easier for you to promote your content and connect with others says Google and from today Google has started rolling out the new service which has been in a closed beta test phase to the general public.
So if you meet the following criteria you can now enjoy setting up and using your very own custom URL. Criteria for you to be enabled includes you having a profile photo, at least 10 followers and you must have held your account for at least 30 days.
Businesses that have a linked website or is a verified local business can also claim a custom URL for their Google+ page if required. To setup a new custom URL within Google+ simply visit your profile or page to begin the claiming process. But don’t worry if you don’t see the signup process just yet as Google are still rolling out the functionality to users worldwide.
