Google has today released a video showing what it will be like to use and wear their new Google Project Glass eyewear, revealing a first look at the navigation interface that will be displayed on the screen within the Google Project Glass.
As you can see in the view yourself after the break, Google Project Glass allows the user to communicate with it via voice commands, enabling updates and images to be taken whilst engaging in other activities.
“Want to see how Glass actually feels? It’s surprisingly simple. Say “take a picture” to take a picture. Record what you see, hands free. Even share what you see, live. Directions are right in front of you. Speak to send a message, or translate your voice. Get the notifications that matter most. Ask whatever’s on your mind and get answers without having to ask.”
Voice Commands and Hands-Free Operation
One of the standout features of Google Project Glass is its ability to operate entirely through voice commands. This hands-free functionality is designed to make multitasking easier and more efficient. For instance, you can say “take a picture” to capture a moment without needing to fumble for your phone or camera. This is particularly useful for activities like hiking, biking, or even cooking, where your hands are otherwise occupied. Additionally, you can record videos, share what you see in real-time, and even get turn-by-turn navigation directions displayed right in front of your eyes.
Real-Time Information and Notifications
Google Project Glass also excels in providing real-time information and notifications. Imagine walking through a new city and needing directions; simply ask Glass, and the directions will appear right in your line of sight. This feature can be a game-changer for travelers, making it easier to explore unfamiliar places without constantly looking down at a map or phone. Moreover, you can send messages, translate your voice into different languages, and receive notifications that matter most to you, all without having to pull out your smartphone.
