The new Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL smartphone were made official on Wednesday, the handsets are now available to pre-order and they will go on sale soon.
Google has now revealed that the new Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL smartphones will receive Android updates and security updates for at least three years after launch.
This is a year longer than the original Pixel smartphones as Google said that it would update these handsets for at least two years after release.
As a reminder the handsets comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor, 4GB of RAM and 64GB or 128GB of storage.
The Pixel 2 has a 5 inch display with a 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution and the Pixel 2 XL a 6 inch display with a QHD+ resolution of 2880 x 1440 pixels. Both handset come with the same cameras, these include an 8 megapixel front facing camera and a 12 megapixel rear camera.
