We have been hearing rumors about the new Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL for some time. The handsets are now official and we have all the details on Google’s latest Android smartphones.
Both handsets comes with the latest version of Google’s mobile OS, Android 8.0 Oreo and they are both powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor. There is 4GB of RAM and a choice of 64GB or 128GB of storage. Both handsets come with unlimited online storage for photos and videos.
The Google Pixel 2 features a 5 inch always on AMOLED display that has a Full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. The Pixel 2 XL comes with a 6 inch pOLED display that has a Quad HD+ resolution of 2880 x 1440 pixels, this is also an always on display.
The cameras on the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL are the same, on the front of the device there is an 8 megapixel camera for selfies, it can record Full HD video in 1080p. On the back of the handset there is a 12.2 megapixel camera or photos and videos, this camera can record 4K video at 30 fps.
The Google Pixel 2 features a 2700 mAh battery, it also has a quick charge feature that will give you up to 7 hours of usage after a 15 minute charge. The Pixel 2 XL has a larger 3520 mAh battery and comes with the same quick charge feature.
The handsets feature a aluminum body and are water and dust resistant, they come with USB-C, and will be available in a range of colors. The colors are Just Black, Clearly White, Kinda Blue for the Pixel 2. The Pixel 2 XL will be available in Just Black and Black & White.
Pricing for the handsets starts at $649 for the 64GB Pixel 2, the 128GB model will cost $749. The Pixel 2 XL will start at $849 for the 64GB model and $949 for the 128GB model. You can find out more details about Google’s latest smartphones at the link below.
