
The Google Nexus 9 tablet was launched recently, the device is produced by HTC for Google, and now HTC have confirmed that they have had to increase production of the tablet to meet demand.
The news comes from HTC;s Jock Tong, who is the companies North Asia President, and he said that “Consumers from major destination markets are really excited about the launch of the Nexus 9,”.
The Google Nexus 9 comes with an 8.9 inch display that has a QXGA resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels, the tablet is powered by a NVIDIA Tegra K1 processor and also comes with 2GB of RAM.
The Nexus 9 comes with a choice of storage options, which include 16gB and 32GB, the tablet comes with the latest version of Google’s mobile OS, Android 5.0 Lollipop.
Other specifications on the Google Nexus 9 tablet include a 1.6 megapixel front facing camera and an 8 megapixel rear camera, the rear camera comes with an LED flash and auto focus.
It will be interesting to see how popular the Google Nexus 9 becomes, as yet there are no details on how many devices have been sold, although if production has to be increase this soon after release, it could end up being a popular tablet.
