Yesterday, Google announced their latest Nexus smartphone, the Google Nexus 4, which is based on LG’s Optimus G handset, and now we have a video of the Google Nexus 4 in action.
The video below was put together by the guys over at Engadget, and it gives us a good look at the new Google Nexus 4, with its new 4.7 inch display and also the latest version of Google Android OS, Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.
The 4.7 inch display on the Google Nexus 4 features a resolution of 1280 x 768 pixels and 320ppi, and the handset is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 pro processor clocked at 1.5GHz, it also features 2GB of RAM and a choice of either 8GB or 16GB of storage. It also comes with a front-facing 1.3 megapixel camera for video chat and a rear-facing 8 megapixel camera for photos and video.
Enhanced Display and Performance
The display on the Nexus 4 is one of its standout features. With a resolution of 1280 x 768 pixels, it offers sharp and vibrant visuals, making it ideal for watching videos, playing games, and browsing the web. The 320ppi (pixels per inch) ensures that text and images are crisp and clear. The Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro processor, clocked at 1.5GHz, provides robust performance, allowing for smooth multitasking and quick app launches. This is complemented by 2GB of RAM, which ensures that the device can handle multiple applications running simultaneously without any lag.
Camera Capabilities and Storage Options
The Google Nexus 4 is equipped with two cameras: a front-facing 1.3 megapixel camera and a rear-facing 8 megapixel camera. The front camera is perfect for video chats and selfies, while the rear camera is capable of capturing high-quality photos and videos. One of the key features of Android 4.2 is Google Now, an intelligent personal assistant that provides real-time information based on the user’s location and search history. Additionally, the Nexus 4 includes features such as gesture typing, which allows users to type by swiping their fingers across the keyboard, and Photo Sphere, a camera feature that enables users to capture 360-degree panoramic photos.
Connectivity and Battery Life
The Nexus 4 supports a range of connectivity options, including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and NFC (Near Field Communication). NFC allows users to make contactless payments and share data with other NFC-enabled devices. The device also includes a 2100mAh battery, which provides a decent amount of usage time. According to Google, the Nexus 4 offers up to 15 hours of talk time and up to 390 hours of standby time. However, actual battery life may vary depending on usage patterns and settings.
