In an aid to help relatives and friends help find each other in aftermath of the Chile earthquake, Google has set-up and dedicated person finder website for families and friends. The site is easy to use and is available in both the English and Spanish.
The Google Person Finder: Chile Earthquake website allows you to help by making donations or embedding the tool on your website.
The site currently has approximately 35800 records and growing. Google does have a discretionary note on the website advising the public that any information entered into the site is publicly viewable by all and the accuracy of the information within the database cannot be verified.
