Users of the Google Home ecosystem and Google Home and Home Mini speakers will be pleased to know that Google has this week released a new update to the hardware enabling owners to setup stereo speaker pairing. To set up your speakers in stereo use the official Google Home app and select one of the speakers you would like to pair, then using the settings cog located in the top right of the screen scroll down and look for the new feature listed as “Speaker pair”.
Once enabled you will be able to use two speakers to listen to your audio and music in stereo sound. The Android Police website explains mopre about the new featutre:
“Music, controls, volume, everything works on both speakers in tandem. Even if you manually raise the volume on one, the other follows suit. Their settings are linked in the Home app too, so enabling night mode or joining the preview program is an all-or-nothing affair. You can still reboot them separately, though, and change the sound’s balance between left and right channel. Oh and they can be added, together, to a larger speaker group.”
