It looks like Google is close to completing another acquisition, Google has purchased Frommer’ss Travel Guides in a deal which is reported to be worth $25 million, Google has purchased the company from its previous owners John Wiley & Sons.
Frommer’s have been producing travel guide books as well as running a website with travel guides, which means that Google will probably show the content from Frommer’s in their search results in the future.
It appears that the deal is close to being finalized, although there are no details on whether Google will continue to publish the travel guide books once they take over the company, or whether they will just be using their content.
