Google has this week added new pan and zoom features to its Google+ social network for high resolution images that have been uploaded by users.
The new features enable Google+ users to benefit from the detail captured within a photograph or image by zooming in on areas of interest, and is perfect for artists of all types, especially professional photographers looking to share the work with others.
Google’s Dave Cohen explained in his Google+ post:
“Google+ is full of amazing photos, and today we’re introducing the ability to pan and zoom when viewing photos from your desktop. To give these features a try, simply open a large photo in the lightbox, then: use your mouse wheel to zoom in or out, or click and drag to pan right, left, up or down
Higher resolution photos will offer more to explore, so we’re excited to launch pan and zoom just weeks after launching full-size backups of your Android photos”
The feature is now live and can be seen in action via your Google+ account on on the Dave Cohen Google+ post explaining the new pan and zoom features.
