With hours after Apple iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C launched online at Apple Store, iPhone 5S gold appears to be sold out, and is showing a shipment date of October while the other two colors are showing the shipment date of 7-10 days.
When the online orders went live, gold iPhone 5S shipment dates pushed back from 1-3 days to 7-10 days and later, it was showing a shipment in October. And it’s not just for the 16GB version, but for the 32GB and 64GB ones as well. It’s not just for US, Apple Store UK and a few other European countries are also showing the shipment date of October for the gold iPhone 5S online.
It seems as if the demand for the gold iPhone 5S is the most compared to the other two colors or it could be that Apple had limited supply of the gold color. Anyway, if you want to get a shiny gold iPhone 5S, you have to wait until October before you can get your hands on the refreshed iPhone 5S in gold color.
There are no details about the stock available at Apple retails stores. In case you can’t wait, just make sure you are outside your nearest Apple store in the morning. Apple stores normally open up at 8am, so you may have to stand in line at the earliest to increase your chances of getting the gold iPhone 5S, as the supply is said to be severely constrained.
