Gigabyte has unveiled their new S1080 tablet, powered by an Intel Dual Core Atom N550 and running a full version of Microsoft Windows 7 operating system.
Its has a 10.1 inch capacitive touchscreen with a resolution of 1024 x 600 and on board keyboard together with handwriting recognition software. The device also includes an optical thumb operated mouse on the side and two tactile mouse buttons on the other for easier navigation and control while using the Windows 7 OS.
The S1080 tablet is also equipped with 1.3 megapixel webcam, USB 3.0 connection, 802.11b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth 3.0, SD card reader and Ethernet port, but lacks a HDMI port and surprisingly has a VGA port to connect to external displays.
The new Gigabyte S1080 tablet will hopefully start shipping next month and will be available for a reasonable $300.
