We have been hearing rumors for a while that the Google Nexus 5 release date would either be the 30th or 31st of October, and now it looks like the handset will land in the Google Play Store next Thursday the 31st of October.
The guys over at Mobile Syrup have been told than the Google Nexus 5 release date will be October the 31st, this ties in with what we heard previously.
The Google Nexus 5 is also expected to launch with the various mobile carriers in Canada, which will include Rogers, Telus, Bell, Koodo and Virgin, the handset will apparently launch with the carriers on the 7th and 8th of November.
The nexus 5 will come with Android 4.4 Kit Kat, the handset is rumored to come with a 5 inch full HD display that will feature a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels.
Under the hood of the Nexus 5 will be the latest high end mobile processor from Qualcomm, the Snapdragon 800 which will come with a clock speed of 2.2GHz or 2.3GHz, the device will also feature 2GB of RAM.
We already know that the Google Nexus 5 will come with a choice of 16GB or 32GB of built in storage as the handset appeared on the Google Play store recently, it was then quickly removed.
The Nexus 5 will feature a 1.3 megapixel camera up front and an advanced 8 megapixel camera on the back, which will feature optical image stabilization and will be capable of recording full HD video in 1080p.
We also know that the 16GB version of the Nexus 5 will retail for $349, this was revealed when the handset appeared on Google, Play, as yet there are no details on how much the 32GB version will retail for.
