Anyone looking for a cost-effective and eco-friendly way of reducing the temperature in their work environment or home may be interested in a new innovation called Geizeer which has been thought up by a pair of Italian architects.
Geizeer uses a cooling gel to help reduce the ambient temperature in your environment, and is capable of providing a solution that costs less than one cents per day to run.
Check out the video below to learn more about how Geizeer functions, and why it is such an eco-friendly way to cool your living space, office or surrounding area and provides a great alternative to expensive, environmentally damaging air-conditioning units. The Italian designers from idea3Di explain more about Geizeer’s inspiration and design.
Geizeer was born from the need to cool our work environments and ourselves during the period of intense heat, safely and at a cost of less than 1 cent per day. It is not always possible nor is it healthy to use air conditioners on a daily basis. The high energy consumption makes it a comfortable accessory but excessive use can cause discomfort, such as headache, stiff neck, back pain and respiratory problems.
The same goes for the use of fans, by mobilizing the air, you feel a sense of coolness but instead you are stimulating sweat and increasing the risk of dehydration. Working, studying, sleeping, watching TV or enjoying a meal can be difficult during the hot sunny days as a consequence.
Hence the idea of Geizeer, an eco- friendly ice cooling with refrigerant mixtures, which consumes less than 1 cent per day!Geizeer is made of wood, a perfect thermal insulator. Externally it is composed of two shells in wood and metal finishing frames. Internally it contains a rechargeable battery, a micro USB with PCBs, a DC brushless fan and an ice pack.
