GE has this week announced new range of Intelligent LED Lighting, that its created to supports the new Apple HomeKit development platform, allowing developers to create a wide variety of home automation products and applications.
As home automation becomes even more popular over the coming years, Apple would like to be at the forefront and has developed a suite of development tools called Apple HomeKit to help the creation of apps.
As Apple explains, Apple HomeKit is a framework in their mobile iOS 8 operating system for “communicating with and controlling connected accessories in a user’s home”. Developers can also utilise Apple’s Siri personal assistant to help integrate and control their apps with user voice control. GE explains more about their new Intelligent LED Lighting that supports Apple HomeKit home automation.
