After raising 50 million in financing the cellular and data provider FreedomPop has this week announced that it is expanding its free data packages into 25 countries from today, offering users 200 MBs per month of FreedomPop Free Data.
It may not be a massive amount of data but it’s definitely the start and will be available in the United States, United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Switzerland, Austria, Netherlands, Belgium, Luxemburg, Sweden, Finland, Norway, Denmark, Ireland, Portugal, Greece, Poland, Hungary, Slovakia, Croatia, Romania, Bulgaria and Czech Republic.
The new FreedomPop Global hotspot and SIM data package can be used by any connected device or smartphone and extra data is available to purchase priced at $10 for 500 MBs. The FreedomPop Global hotspot is available today for a special launch price of $49.99 and the SIM will be available for $10. Steven Sesar, FreedomPop COO and Co-Founder explains more :
