Earlier this month, Fossil introduced their first Android Wear powered Fossil Q Founder smartwatch, which is already available for sale from the company’s website as well as some of its retail locations for $295.
Recently, the Fossil Q Founder was spotted on the Google Play Store, but there’s no price tag listed. So it’s not available for sale at the moment, but customers interested in purchasing it from Google may be able to do so in the coming weeks.
There are two models of the smartwatch listed on Google Play Store: one with Light stainless steel case with silver steel bracelet and Light stainless steel case with leather band.
As for the specifications, it appears to be better than most of the Android Wear smartwatches available in the market, and is powered by an Intel Atom processor as well as 1GB of RAM and 4GB of storage. There’s a 400 mAh battery to make sure it can last a little longer, features IP67 certification making the smartwatch dust and water-resistant up to a certain extent and runs Android Wear out of the box.
The smartwatch is compatible with Android devices running Android 4.4 KitKat or higher, as well as iOS 8.2 or higher.
There’s no word on when the smartwatch will be available for sale on the Google Play Store, but we’ll update you as soon as it happens.
