Ford has a long history of offering up cars and trucks that are auctioned off with all proceeds going to charity. This time out Ford has offered up the very last F-150 Raptor truck to be produced for the 2017 model year. That truck will be auctioned by Barrett-Jackson in Scottsdale, Arizona with proceeds going to JDRF.
JDRF is the leading global funding organization for type 1 diabetes research. The auction will air live on January 20 at 8pm local time. The auction has no reserve and will get to choose a one-of-one Raptor color for the truck making it unique. Also being announced at the auction is a cool Raptor Assault program.
This is a driving school at the Utah Motorsports Campus that will come with the purchase of a new 2017 F-150 Raptor. The program will put owners in eh truck with an instructor to teach them rock crawling and other driving skills.
“The new 2017 Ford F-150 Raptor is by far the most off-road-capable vehicle on the market today, boasting some of the best performance technology to come from Ford,” said Jim Owens, marketing manager, Ford Performance. “Raptor serves as a testament to our passion for creating vehicles that are designed to tackle the toughest obstacles on earth. We’re really looking forward to auctioning off our custom creation to help support JDRF.”
