The hottest truck Ford has going today is the Raptor with its rugged off-road style and looks. The truck has a new version coming as a 2017 model with the big notable change being the aluminum body and the 3.5L EcoBoost making around 450hp and backed with a 10-speed auto. Pricing for the new Raptor has leaked courtesy of a Ford document that has been uncovered.
The SuperCab version will start at $49,520 including destination charge. The four-door SuperCrew version will start at $52,505. It’s unclear exactly how much all available options will cost, but the spec sheet includes some of the common options. LED bed lights will cost $125, remote start $195, auto-dimming and heated side mirrors $365, and pro trailer backup assist is $395.
Additional Features and Options
A power sliding rear window will be $450, technology package is $3,158, and the luxury package is $9,345. While you won’t be able to get all those options on a truck, a top of the line fully optioned Raptor is likely to push the $70,000 range. We don’t know the exact power output for the new Raptor as yet, but hopefully all the details will be coming soon.
The 2017 Ford Raptor is not just about raw power and rugged looks; it also comes with a suite of advanced technologies designed to enhance both on-road and off-road performance. The technology package, for instance, includes features like adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, and a 360-degree camera system. These features make driving the Raptor not only safer but also more convenient, whether you’re navigating city streets or tackling challenging off-road trails.
Performance and Capability
The new 3.5L EcoBoost engine is a significant upgrade over the previous model’s 6.2L V8. While some purists may miss the V8’s roar, the EcoBoost offers better fuel efficiency and more torque, making it a more versatile engine for a variety of driving conditions. The 10-speed automatic transmission is another highlight, providing smooth and quick shifts that enhance both performance and fuel economy.
The Raptor’s off-road capabilities are further enhanced by its advanced suspension system, which includes Fox Racing Shox with custom internal bypass technology. This allows the truck to handle rough terrains with ease, providing a smooth ride even in the most challenging conditions. The truck also features a Terrain Management System with multiple driving modes, including Normal, Sport, Weather, Mud/Sand, Baja, and Rock Crawl. These modes adjust the truck’s performance characteristics to suit different driving environments, making the Raptor a true off-road beast.
The interior of the 2017 Raptor is designed to be both functional and luxurious. High-quality materials are used throughout the cabin, and the seats are designed to provide maximum comfort during long drives. The luxury package adds even more premium features, such as leather upholstery, a premium audio system, and advanced navigation. These features make the Raptor not just a capable off-road vehicle but also a comfortable and luxurious daily driver.
In terms of safety, the 2017 Raptor comes equipped with a range of advanced safety features. These include a pre-collision assist system with pedestrian detection, a rearview camera with dynamic hitch assist, and a suite of airbags. These features provide an added layer of protection for both the driver and passengers, making the Raptor a safe choice for families as well.
Overall, the 2017 Ford Raptor is shaping up to be one of the most exciting trucks on the market. With its combination of rugged off-road capabilities, advanced technologies, and luxurious features, it offers something for everyone. Whether you’re an off-road enthusiast or someone looking for a powerful and stylish daily driver, the Raptor is sure to impress.
