
FLIR has launched a new thermal camera this week in the form of the pocket sized Scout TK Thermal Vision Monocular, that will soon be available to purchase price at around $600.
The new thermal camera is capable of showing people, objects and animals to a range of 100 yards or 90 m away from the user and is capable of taking both still image photographs or video recording at the touch of a button.

The pocket -sized thermal camera weighs just 170 g and is equipped with several video colour palettes to enhance viewing in different light conditions. The single-handed operation offers a four button design together with an intuitive interface making it easy for users to capture footage. The weatherproof rugged design also keeps the internal electronics protected while out and about FLIR. Explains a little more.
