The Flexbook concept has been designed by Hao-chun Huang as part of this years FUJITSU design award 2011. The design has been shortlisted from over 1000 designs in the recent Design Boom competition ‘a life with future computing’, organised in collaboration with Fujitsu.
The design allows its shape to be transformed into a number of different configurations, using its flexible structure and center joint depending on what the device is being used for. Whether its being used as a tablet device or a netbook with full QWERTY keyboard.
The Flexbook is created with a waterproof keypad and a 21:9 screen and has been designed for portability and a range of uses among the constantly connected.
