Fisker has unveiled the EMotion EV at CES 2018 and the car is incredibly good looking. The exterior of the Emotion is very swoopy and sexy. The most interesting feature is doors that open up and out of the way in opposite directions to provide unencumbered entry and exit.
We do wonder how practical those doors will be in the real world when someone parks too close to you. The interior of the vehicle is super premium with multiple screens aimed at the driver. Fisker is using new battery tech that It claims will provide a fast charge and a driving range of 400 miles per charge. Fisker claims the tech can allow for a 500-mile range and 1-minute recharge.
If that is true, this car will be a massive breakthrough for EV fans. The top speed is estimated at 161 mph and the car can be optioned with Carbon barrel wheels. The car has up to Level 4 autonomous tech inside with LiDAR sensors that have hardware and perception software in one device. This allows the LiDAR to detect and classify objects for real-time reaction. A version with a 27-inch rear curved screen is called Chauffer Edition and buyers can opt for a rear bench seat allowing the car to haul five people.
