As planned Netflix will be premiering its first feature length movie today in the form of Beasts of No Nation Based on the novel by Uzodinma Iweala about a 14-year-old child soldier who loses his family.
Todays movie will be followed by Adam Sandler’s The Ridiculous Six that will premiere on December 11th via the Netflix streaming service.

Beasts of No Nation tells the story of a child soldier torn from his family to fight in the civil war of an African country. Newcomer Abraham Attah gives a stunning portrayal of Agu, while Elba dominates the screen in the role of Commandant, a warlord who takes in Agu and instructs him in the ways of war.
The film is produced by Amy Kaufman and Cary Fukunaga (who previously worked together on Sin Nombre), Daniela Taplin Lundberg, Riva Marker and Dan Crown for Red Crown Productions, along with Elba. Jeff Skoll and Jonathan King are executive producers for Participant Media and Donna Gigliotti is executive producer for Levantine Films.
Netflix has also announced that Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon: The Green Legend will premiere theatrically in China and on Netflix early in 2016.
