Camera manufacturer Leica has unveiled the companies very first rugged waterproof camera in the form of the Leica X-U, which is now available to purchase priced from $2,950.
The camera has been designed in collaboration with Audi Design and features a 16.5 megapixel APS-C sensor and a fixed f/1.7 23mm lens and a body that is finished with an anti-slip thermoplastic elastomer coating
The Leica X-U camera is waterproof down to a depth of 49 feet and is also rugged enough to withstand shocks and is also sealed to repel dust or sand impregnation. Leica explains more :
