Epson has pulled the covers off a new multimedia projector called the PowerLite X15. The projector has a reasonable price of $599 and has 3000 lumens of brightness. The projector supports XGA resolution and is aimed at computer users who give presentations.
The projector has a flexible set up with plus or minus 30° horizontal keystone and automatic vertical keystone correction. These features make it easy to get a perfectly square image. The projector has 1.2 times optical zoom and lamp life of up to 5000 hours. The projector is designed to be turned on and off using a wall power switch.
It supports closed captioning and has dual VGA ports for connecting to more than one computer. The projector uses 3LCD technology for brighter colors and less power consumption than DLP projectors. The X15 will be available in May.
