eBay is testing a new same day delivery service in San Francisco, and if the trial is successful, eBay intends to roll it out to other cities in the US, eBay Now will let you order an item and have it delivered the same day for a fee of $5.
The service is being tested in an exclusive beta, although anyone can apply to join, and to qualify for the $5 same date service you will need to make a purchase of $25 or more from selected stores.
If you want the product the same day, then you will need to purchase it 30 minutes before the store closes, and the items will be delivered from 9am to 9pm Monday to Saturday and 9am to 6pm on Sunday.
There area number of stores involved in the trial which include Macy’s, best Buy, Target, Toys R Us and more, it sounds like a good idea, and could be useful if you need something in a hurry. After 17 years of use eBay has launched a new eBay Logo.
