Following on from yesterdays announcement by cloud storage company Dropbox, that they would be rolling out of new double storage limits to their premium accounts.
Dropbox has now revealed that some earlier adopters of their premium plans will also be receiving free premium accounts as a thank you for their early support.
Dropbox explained in an email to users:
“Hi, Let’s be real — you’ve got a ton of cred for being one of the earliest Dropbox users on the block. For sticking with us for all this time, we’d like to give you your 25 GB subscription for free!
No fine print, no catches. You’ll no longer receive a bill for your current Dropbox account. It’s yours for good!
Keep it real,
– The Dropbox Team”
Yesterday Dropbox announced that Dropbox Pro users currently with a $10 a month plan or $99 a year will now have 100GB at their disposal, while Dropbox Pro users paying $20 a month or $199 year will have 200GB to play with. The 2GB free version remains the same size.
