Dodge has a long history of fitting its muscle cars with hoods that are designed to slurp cool air from outside into the engine. The idea is to make more power and look good doing it. Dodge is teasing the 2019 Challenger SRT Hellcat and it gets a new hood.
That hood is called a dual-snorkel hood and Dodge says it pays homage to the Mopar designs from the mid-60s and early 70s. The modern interpretation looks even more sinister says Dodge and sucks the most air possible into the supercharged engine.
Dodge says that more details on the new Hellcat will come this summer. We hope the already insane Hellcat gets ever more power.
