Dodge has finally announced a Challenger with AWD, something that fans in cold weather states have wanted for a long time. The new Challenger GT is available in Q1 2017 and packs AWD and the lowly V6 engine. The biggest issue for enthusiasts is that the AWD GT isn’t offered with the Hemi V8.
The only power option for the Challenger GT is the 3.6L V6 making 305hp and 268 lb-ft of torque. The car comes with an 8-speed auto. The car gets 18 mpg in the city and 27 mpg on the highway. The 8-speed auto has a Sport mode and paddle shifters.
The car does get a full-off mode for the stability control if you want to make snow-donuts in the car. A Super Track Pak button gives access to Performance Pages and launch control features on the 8.4-inch touchscreen. We are still hoping that widebody Challenger GT makes it to production, with a V8.
