If like me you enjoy playing air hockey and would like one in the comfort of your own home, you may be interested in an Instructables published by Technovation, providing instructions on how to build your very own DIY air hockey table. Check out the video below to learn more about the project and see the final air hockey table in action.
“A professional air hockey setup is usually available only in arcades due to the sophisticated systems that are required to operate it. Our goal was to build a DIY air hockey table, bringing this gaming experience at home. By using commonly available materials we have succeeded in making a cost effective and easy to build air hockey table. Our project uses the power of modern technologies such as laser cutting and 3d printing to make a customised and easily scalable system letting one build the game according to their preferences.”
For a complete component list for everything you will need to build your very own including 3D printing diagrams for the puck, strikers and Arduino code jump over to the project page by following the link below. All the components are powered by an Arduino Uno.
