At IFA 2014 this week Dell has unveiled a new range of Chromebox systems it has created for both consumers and business meetings that have been designed to provide “video-conferencing solution out of the box,” said Kelli Hodges, brand experience manager at Dell.
The new Dell Chromebox and Chromebox for meetings have been specifically designed to provide users with the ability to make collaboration easy and effective.
Dell explains in their press release today that their new Chrome box for meetings has been specifically developed with the mobile workforce in mind. Enabling organisations to carry out high definition video meetings via multiple devices. Dell explains :
“Powered by the latest Intel 4th generation processor and featuring a 1080p webcam, speaker phone, remote control, as well as all the mounting hardware and cabling needed for placement anywhere, the Dell Chromebox for meetings solution provides an affordable and easy-to-use, high-definition meeting solution for growing businesses, while encouraging real time collaboration among employees, regardless of location.”
The new Dell Chromebox will be priced at $179 for consumers and business Chromebox for meetings is priced at $999 for a short time with a RRP of $1320, and comes equipped with a Intel Core i7-4600U Haswell processor supported by 4GB of RAM with 16GB of internal storage.
Other features of theDell Chromebox system includes a Logitech 1080p webcam together with a Jabra mic and speaker and a Philips remote control.
