Apple last updated their Mac Mini three years ago, the company has not revealed any details about any new model of the device in the last few years.
Many rumors have suggested that Apple have stopped updating the Mac Mini, but now it looks like Apple has plans for the device in the future.
A MacRumors reader emailed Apple’s CEO Tim Cook asking about what Apple has planned for the device and whether Apple will update it, you can see his response below.
I’m glad you love Mac mini. W love it too. Our customers have found so many creative and interesting uses for Mac mini. While it is not time to share any details, we do plan for the Mac mini to be an important part of our product line going forward.

As we can see from the email, Apple is planning for the Mac Mini to feature in the future product range. This is a good indication that we will see a new model of the device, exactly when this will happen remains to be seen.
