Corsair has announced a new series of SSDs called the Force Series GS. These new SSD’s use a 2.5-inch form factor suitable for mobile devices and ship with 3.5-inch mount solution for desktop computers as well. The SSDs use the SandForce SF-2200 SSD processor providing fast speeds along with toggle NAND.
The special toggle NAND and controller allows for random write speeds up to 90,000 IOPS. The SSD’s also maintain TRIM support and are designed to use little power to extend the battery life and mobile devices.
The SSDs are available now in 180 GB, 240 GB, 360 GB, and 480 GB capacities. Prices range from $189.99 to $489.99 depending on capacity.Filed Under: Hardware
