Anyone looking for a way to stream music to the older existing music system that might not be Bluetooth equipped, may be interested in a new piece of hardware that has been created by Linkplay Technology called the Cobblestone.
Cobblestone can either work as a standalone music player and can be used with its companion application allowing users to control its features directly from their smartphone using it as a remote control. Watch the video below to learn more about the Cobblestone music stream and see it in action.
The Cobblestone project is currently over on the Kickstarter crowd funding website looking to raise enough pledges to make the jump from concept to production and is currently in the final hours of its campaign and safely past its $100,000 funding goal. Linkplay Technology explains a little more :
“Cobblestone also works as a standalone music player. Smart phone control is optional. It plays all your favorite streamed music to any speaker in lossless sound quality with a hit of a button. Cobblestone uses your Wifi network to control speakers in your home.
Cobblestone is a smart device. It memories your favorite songs and will always plays you preferred playlist with a hit of the button. It supports synchronized multi-room play or play different songs in different rooms. It understands the genre of the music being played and adjusts the EQ automatically for you.
Our intuitive app allows you to remote control. Unlike Bluetooth, music doesn’t stop when you have phone calls or out of the short range. Now you can enjoy music without any interruptions in every room of your home.”
