LEGO makers looking for a fantastic way to present their creations may be interested in the new BRICK LEGO display case designed to showcase your favourite LEGO sets. Coming to the end of its Kickstarter campaign the LEGO display case has been designed by Andreas Näslund and is now available to back via Kickstarter with pledges available from £246.
“My interest for creating things and making them look as I imagined actually started a long time ago. It’s Christmas morning. Me and my older brother tear a Christmas present open and find the Classic “6384 LEGO Police Station,” released in 1983. A creative space without restrictions or rules. The beginning of our own city. How perfect!
Fast forward 30 years. A bunch of kids later. Work, the house, and a thousand things to keep track of. Then I get that special quiet moment with my children. No stress, no noise. Just me and the kids, a brick in my hand, and endless possibilities. Creativity at its finest. We make something beautiful together and put it aside in a corner. Two hours later, someone stumbles on it, breaking it into a thousand bricks. It was at this exact moment that I had the idea for BRICK.
What if we could find a way to protect that creative space and enjoy it at the same time? Move it around. Open and close it. Carry it to some friends or bring it to a LEGO fair. I told myself: Let’s put those Nordic design influences from Sweden to use, and create something clean and intriguing. A serious yet playful design that feels and smells genuine. For adults and their children.”
