Back in May we mentioned that a rumor was going around that BMW would be unveiling an M4 GTS in the US. That rumor has come true, at least to some extent. BMW rolled out the Concept M4 GTS at Pebble Beach this week, but it has made no promises to put the car into production. The M4 GTS uses the water injection system that BMW features in the BMW M4 MotoGP Safety Car.
That water injection system helps the car make more power and torque, but exactly how much power the concept makes is unannounced. The M4 GTS has track-tuned features like manually adjustable front splitter and rear wing. The wheels are lightweight forged units with 265/35-19 front and 285/30-20 rear Michelin Sport Cup 2 tires.
The M4 GTS also has OLED rear lights, which will come to production BMWs this year. The concept car is covered in Frozen Dark Grey metallic paint with acid orange accents on the car and wheels. I’m hoping that BMW puts this car into production. Even if it goes into production, it will be as expensive as it is sexy. This is the first special edition of the M4, which has been on the market for about a year.
