Snorkellers looking to take the next step or divers looking for a quick and portable way to explore beneath the waves, may be interested in an ultraportable tankless dive system. Designed to enable users to breathe underwater without the restriction of heavy tanks and expensive training. The Nomad tankless dive system has been designed by the team at bLU3, who have this week launched the project via Kickstarter to raise the $210,000 they require to go into production. Watch the demonstration video below to learn more about the portable dive system which is available to back with pledges starting from $999 offering a massive 50 percent off the recommended retail price of $1,999.
If all goes well shipping is expected to take place towards the end of this year during December 2018. Features of the Nomad include a waterproof touch interface, colour LED mode indicator, auto inflation that allows you to inflate the ring around the air supply and a handy water tight storage compartment for your smartphone wallet or belongings while you dive.
If the Kickstarter campaign is successful the developing team has already listed features they would like to develop and include including segmented lithium ion battery packs, a companion smartphone application, modular sensor pack and a low battery warning indicator to name a few.
