Many of us are waiting for Blackberry to launch its popular Blackberry Messenger application for iOS and Android. BBM for Android is in beta from past few weeks and it was also available for developers for testing purposes, via Blackberry Beta Zone. Now, it has been revealed that Blackberry Messenger for iOS was submitted to the App Store two weeks ago, which means that the application could go live any moment. The news came from Blackberry Social Media Manage Alex Kinsella.
The news came out in May that BBM will launch on iOS and Android. Recently, we also saw the leaked landing pages for BBM for Android and iOS, which were taken down within minutes as it could have been a mistake from Blackberry’s side.
It was even mentioned by one of the employees of Blackberry that it will hit the respective App Stores by the end of September. In addition, we’ve seen the application in action a number of times in the past as well.
Given that Google Play store has no approval process for submission, we assume that Blackberry will make the application live in Google Play Store as soon as it is approved in Apple App Store. Stay tuned as we will let you know once the application is live in respective App Stores.
