Last month, Microsoft started its own trade-in program where users could turn in their old iPhones, iPads or any other device for a credit of up to $350, which could be used to get a new Microsoft product such as a Surface tablet or a Windows Phone handset.
Now, it seems that Best Buy is following Microsoft’s footsteps and offering a Surface trade-in program of their own where users could trade-in their old Surface or Surface Pro tablet for a gift card worth at least $200, with the maximum trade-in value of $350.
There are a few limitations to this program. The program is not available at all retail locations and the trade-in value depends on the condition of the device – you must have the complete accessories and box to get the highest value. The promotion is only available if you bring your Surface tablet to a Best Buy location.
Additionally, the tablets must be in working conditions, which means that they should turn on at the time of trade and are free of any water or physical damage. The offer is valid until October 21st and it makes sense, Microsoft Surface 2 and Surface Pro 2 tablets will hit the retail stores on October 22nd.
Are you going to trade-in your current Surface tablet with the new one?
