Back at the IFA 2014 in Berlin, Sony announced a miniature version of their flagship device with an impressive set of specifications.
For Canadian users, Bell will exclusively offer the Sony Xperia Z3 Compact for 79.95 CAD tied to a two-year contract with the carrier. Customers interested paying outright for the handset can grab it for 549.99 CAD.
Sony Xperia Z3 Compact boasts a similar set of specifications as the Xperia Z3 with a few exceptions. There’s a 4.6-inch display sporting a resolution of 1280 by 720 pixels, and a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor clocked at 2.7GHz with 2GB of RAM (compared to 3GB on the Xperia Z3) and 16GB of storage coupled with a microSD cards lot should you ever need more storage.
The handset also features a 20.7MP camera for photos and videos, a 2.2MP front-facing camera, a 2,600 mAh battery and runs Android 4.4.2 KitKat as its operating system out of the box.
If you don’t want to get it from Bell, Sony will also sell the handset unlocked through their own retail store for $599 in black, green, orange and white.
