With the highly anticipated release of Battlefield 3 edging ever closer to its official launch date of October 25, 2011 on Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. The EA marketing machine is now beginning to pick up speed and rumours suggest that EA Games has set aside one of the biggest marketing budgets ever for their new Battlefield 3 game.
Even before the marketing campaign hits overdrive pre-order figures are already outpacing recorded Black Ops pre-order figures, which must surely have Activision’s marketing department looking over their shoulders for the forth coming release of Modern Warfare 3.
Lazy gamer explains:
“Earlier estimations had Battlefield 3 selling 8 million units over all 3 platforms but after a fantastic showing at E3 these estimates have been bumped up to 11 million.”
