EA has this week launched a new Battlelog application for iOS devices, that will allow Battlefield 3 players to stay connected to Battlefield 3 and their gaming friends while away from their console or PC.

Real-Time Notifications and Social Features
Battlelog allows you to receive real-time notifications when your friends unlock new weapons or get new awards, together with the ability to comment on their posts. This feature ensures that you are always in the loop about your friends’ achievements and can celebrate or strategize together. You can also use the Battlelog application to check which friends are playing in real-time and see the maps they are currently enjoying. This social connectivity enhances the gaming experience by fostering a sense of community and competition among players.
Comprehensive Statistics and Progress Tracking
Other Battlelog features include the ability to review your statistics and progress on the battlefield. This includes detailed information on your kill/death ratio, accuracy, and other vital stats that can help you improve your gameplay. You can also view the dog tags you have collected from your enemies, which adds a personal touch to your achievements. Additionally, the app provides insights into new weapons, gadgets, vehicle upgrades, and specializations, allowing you to plan your next moves and upgrades effectively.
The Battlelog app also offers a feature called “Battle Reports,” which provides a detailed summary of your recent matches. This includes information on your performance, the performance of your team, and the overall outcome of the match. These reports can be invaluable for players looking to analyze their gameplay and identify areas for improvement.
Additional Features and Future Updates
The Battlelog app is designed to be user-friendly, with an intuitive interface that makes it easy to navigate through various features. The app also supports push notifications, ensuring that you never miss an important update or message from your friends. Furthermore, EA has plans to roll out additional features and updates in the future, which will likely include new functionalities and improvements based on user feedback.
For example, future updates might include enhanced social features, such as the ability to create and join clans or squads directly from the app. This would allow players to organize and coordinate with their friends more effectively. Another potential update could be the integration of in-game events and challenges, providing players with new objectives and rewards to strive for.
The new Battlelog application is now available to download for free from the iTunes App Store. This makes it accessible to a wide range of players, ensuring that everyone can stay connected and engaged with the Battlefield 3 community, regardless of where they are.
