Bang & Olufsen has created a new speaker that can be either wall mounted or rested on a desktop or flat surface and uses an accelerometer to enable users to easily adjust sound. Watch the demonstration video below to learn more about the unique Bang & Olufsen Beosound Edge Speaker, which supports Bluetooth, AirPlay 2 and Chromecast connections.
Priced at $3, 500 the Bang & Olufsen Beosound Edge Speaker is encased in aluminium and is fitted with a large 10-inch woofer and two pairs each of 4-inch midrange drivers and 0.75-inch tweeters. “The Beosound Edge is a unique speaker and a minimalist design object, delivering a powerfully dynamic sound performance for the home. Designed for intuitive touch and motion this speaker is a divine and unbroken circle of audio clarity, precision and beauty.”

As you approach the speaker, the touch sensitive aluminium interface comes to life, lighting up thanks to proximity sensors. You can then start, stop or skip tracks with a simple tap on the surface. The Beosound Edge is calibrated to read the force of your touch, adjusting the volume as you roll the speaker back and forth, even when placed on the gravity-defying wall mount.”
