Truck tires never get the credit they deserve. Not only are they excellent material for flip-flops and assorted footwear, but the punishment they can take is legend. Thanks to PKG, the usefulness of recycled rubber tires (from India) is applied to a new medium—laptop sleeves.
Forget specs or whatever fancy-shmancy nonsense expectations come to mind. The long and short of these laptop cases is they come in two sizes. The straps of both are made from seatbelts and the smaller variant can fit your 13 inch notebook while the larger can accommodate up to 16 inches.
Laptop sleeves come in all shapes, sizes, and materials, but this may be the first rubber sleeve I’ve seen. Each bag from PKG’s Rubber Bag Collection is handmade in India from recycled truck tires, using repurposed seatbelt straps for carrying. The smaller sleeve fits laptops and tablets up to 13 inches for $80; the larger holds a laptop as big as 16 inches for $90.
