Last week we heard that the Asus ZenFone AR could possibly launch on the 14th of June, this was incorrect as Asus has now confirmed that the handset will not launch on that date.
Asus is holding a press event on the 14th of June and whilst the Asus ZenFone AR will be part of the event, the handset will not be going on sale that day.
Asus has confirmed to us that the ZenFone AR will be going on sale this summer, you can see an official statement from the company below.
ASUS will be having an event in Taiwan on June 14th, and while the ZenFone AR will be a part of it, it will not be launching then, nor has ASUS publicly specified a launch date for the upcoming smartphone. We are; however, happy to share that consumers will be able to get their hands on the ZenFone AR this summer.
As a reminder the Asus ZenFone AR features a 5.7 inch display with a WQHD resolution and the handset features 8GB of RAM. The device also comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor and 256GB of storage.
The ZenFone ARE will come with a 23 megapixel camera and it is a Project Tango device, as soon as we get some details on the exact launch date, we will let you guys know.
