We previously heard that the Asus ZenFone 2 would be launching in the US this month and now Asus has sent out press invites to a launch event for the handset on the 18th of May.
Asus will probably launch both versions of the Asus ZenFone 2 in the US, the entry level model has a 5.5 inch display with a HD resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels.
This version of the handset is powered by a 1.6GHz Intel Atom processor and comes with 2GB of RAM, 16GB of storage and a microSD card slot for expansion, there is also an 8 megapixel rear camera with an LED flash.
The higher end version of the Asus ZenFone 2 comes with a 5.5 inch Full HD display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels.
This version of the handset features a 64-bit Intel Atom processor with a clock speed of 2.3GHz, it comes with 4GB of RAM, 32gB of included storage and a microSD card slot. This version of the device has 5 megapixel front camera and a 13 megapixel rear camera, as yet there are no details on pricing for the US.
