ASUS ZenFone 2 launched in the US earlier today, but it seems the people on the other side of the border (Canada) will be able to grab the handset in unlocked flavors as well.
Customers in Canada will be able to purchase the ASUS ZenFone 2 starting today for C$249 from various retail locations, including Newegg, NCIX, Canada Computers and Memory Express.
The handset will be available in two configurations: the first version will come with a quad-core 1.8Ghz version with 2GB of RAM and 16GB storage, with a $249 price tag. The second variant of the handset will come with more powerful specifications, including a 2.3Ghz quad-core version with 4GB of RAM and 64GB storage. But, this version is going to cost you a little higher, that is, 379 CAD. Both these variants will be available unlocked so you can just insert the SIM of your choice.
Both versions feature a 5.5-inch 1080p panel, 13MP rear camera sensor, 5MP front-facing shooter and 3,000mAh to make sure you never run out of juice. As far as the operating system is concerned, the handset will ship with Android 5.0 Lollipop as its operating system.
