Earlier today we heard that Asus had issued a statement in the UK relating to the GPS issues on their Transformer Prime tablet, where they were offering owners of the device the choice to return it and get their money back or if they kept it they would receive an 18 month warranty on the device.
Now it would appear that Asus has released a software update for the Transformer Prime, and the new update brings the firmware on the device up to v9.4.2., and also adding Android Ice Cream Sandwich to those devices which haven’t updated.
According to the guys over at Slashgear, early reports on the update from users have noticed an improvement on GPS performance to the Transformer Prime tablet.
Some owners are reporting more satellite locks on the Transformer Prime, and even improved performance indoors. If you have received the update and the GPS performance is improved leave a comment and let us know.
