Last month, ASUS unveiled the Transfer Pad TF701 in Berlin and it seems that the Tegra 4 powered tablet is hitting US market very soon. ASUS has yet to make an official announcement of the tablet, but it should hit several retailers across the country. As of now, ExcaliberPC is taking pre-orders of ASUS Transformer Pad TF701 with a $449 price tag for the 32GB version of the tablet while the tablet bundle including the keyboard dock will set you back by $599.
The pre-orders are being taken by ExcaliburPC, who are also offering the keyboard dock separately for $149. The retailer is showing an ETA of November 3rd, which might be the date it will hit other retail stores as well. In addition to the normal cost of the tablet, the retailer is also charging a shipping cost depending on your location.
To recall, the tablet comes with a 10.1-inch ultra-HD display boasting a resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels and powered by the quad-core Tegra 4 chipset with a clock speed of 1.9GHz. The tablet offers 2GB RAM with an option of 32GB or 64GB internal storage. In addition, it also comes with a microSD card slot if you want to expand the storage.
On the back, Asus Transformer Pad features a 5MP camera with f/2.4 aperture and a 1.2MP front-facing camera. On the connectivity side, the device supports WiFi (a/b/g/n), Miracast support and Bluetooth. Lastly, the tablet runs Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean out of the box.
